State-owned PUTH Medical to Fulfill its Commitment for Pandemic Prevention and Control

Where there is an epidemic, there is an order. To prevent and control epidemic is to take responsibility. The most important protective equipment against the epidemic - the production and supply of masks –got on people’s nerves. The government has called on businesses to increase the production and supply of the materials in response to the short supply.It behooves PUTH Medical,a whollystate-owned medical equipment enterprise and in certain capacity,to make full play of its clean production facilities set idle and, through technical revamp, to start running mask production, upon communication, consent, and support of Chengdu Municipal Bureau of Economic and Information Technology and Sichuan Provincial Healthcare Security Bureau, to echo the government’s call foraddressing the shortage of protective equipment, gowns, and masks, thus contributing its efforts to China’s “whole of society” commitment.

On January 30, PUTH Medical held a thematic meeting on the mask project. With the great support of leaders of Wuliangye Group and PUTH Group, the disposable mask (for medical and civil purposes) project was officially kicked off.

On February 4, the division of work was clarified amid all departments, and designated staff members were sent for looking for production equipment and materials.

On February 10, Sichuan Provincial Drug Administration and Chengdu Municipal Bureau of Economic and Information Technology gave green light to PUTH Medical for the barrier-free registration and inspection of the disposable mask (medical and civilian) project.

The disposable mask (for medical and civil purposes) project of PUTH Medical is in good order and in full swing. Successive arrival of production equipment worthRMB3 million or more at the plantbrought to bearthe company with conditions and ability to produce disposable masks, disposable medical masks, and disposable surgical masks.

PUTH Medical with concerted efforts won the battle without smoke even though production equipment was developed from scratch and raw materials were in short constantly, in the race against time. The shift of production gives expression tothe commitment of PUTHMedical, as a state-owned enterprise, for the country and people, brushing a magnificent chapter in killing and stopping COVID-19.
